Cropsy's artistic voice was formed far from the influence of art academies and white-walled galleries.

As an artist who emerged later in life, his canvas was farmland. His medium: barley and wheat. Under cover of night, he carved out vast geometric patterns that blurred the line between human craft and alien intervention.
